marta secures €6.6 million in funding

The Berlin-based startup is developing an online platform that helps people to find and book at-home care service providers.

marta secures €6.6 million in funding

marta, an online marketplace for booking caregivers, recently announced a €6.6 million funding round. 

Capnamic and Almaz Capital led the seed investment round with participation from GMPVC, Ithaca, SumUp Impact Fund, and Verve Ventures. Angel investors, Christian Vollmann, Johannes Schaback, Laura Esnola, Dr. Steffen Zoller, and Julian Stiefel, also contributed to the round.

Launched in 2020, marta is building an algorithm-based online caregiver booking platform. More than 13k families and people ( in Germany) use the platform to book personal caregivers. marta said the new funds would help expand its team and scale up its business operations in Poland, Romania, and Lithuania. 

The monthly cost of a caregiver starts from €1.999. According to the company’s website, the help and support that caregivers offer include: personal hygiene, housekeeping, shopping, meal preparation, washing, cleaning, etc....
